iPad issues: giving reps, blocked users

iPad issues: giving reps, blocked users
I appreciate all the great work that has been done to keep the forum running smoothly, and the recent transition has been well handled.

I am still experiencing a couple of minor issues, if people have the spare time to look at them. I'm viewing the forum on the iPad's mobile version for these issues. I don't know if they also apply to the phone mobile version (I'm assuming it's different). I can get around them by switching to full version, but it would be great if I didn't have to Tongue

1) I can't rate users. I get as far as their reputation page, but when I click the Rate button, nothing happens.

2) If I've blocked someone and I click to show one of their messages, again nothing happens. Instead it jumps to the top of the page generally.

Thanks for reading!

I knew there was a reason for my rep slowing down. I guess most people are using iPads these days...

Rob, I gave you my first rep point!
I didn't know where to find it!
cheers.

PS, when should I rep vs kudos?
eg: if a wacky theist gives me a good belly laugh, should I rep them for sheer entertainment value? Or would that be misleading for others?

No problem Smile

I don't think there's any official rules about it. I tend to use kudos to show something that really made me laugh, made a good point or showed creativity. I use it pretty freely myself. I will use it even for members who I don't generally like very much if they happen to make a particularly thoughtful or funny post, to encourage them.

I reserve reps for those who have earnt my respect overall, I give them fairly quickly to new members if I think they're nice.

Full disclosure, I'm also pretty trigger happy with my ignore list too Tongue This is partly because of my mental state, reading what certain people have to say gets to me after a while and I'd rather just not read it at all. I feel like I give people a fair chance first though. I understand some people may see this as cowardly, but I have to take care of myself. I reserve my energy and words for those who have shown an interest in actually listening to me.

These are just my personal preferences.

How do you switch to desk top version?
It says full version down below but that button doesn't work.
I've emptied my cache a few times.

What worries me most is that people think I'm an arsehole for never repping.
Or that people don't like me and I don't know because I can't see the lack of reps.
I'm a deaf and blind comedian.
Perhaps it's better that way.

According to these guys (http://www.tekrevue.com/tip/request-desktop-site-ios-8/), you just need to tap the address bar, then swipe down to find the option to load the site in full desktop mode.

There's an update of our mobile theme which I need to install, can try it tomorrow. It might resolve some issues.
