@Redbeard the Pink, I think you're correct as well.

I deny women my essence.

Is this you?

Basically, if you hurt yourself (or your partner), or if it is taking up too much of your time and interfering with other things you need to do, then you should be thinking that maybe there is a problem.  But if no one is hurt, and if you still have enough time to do the things you need to do (like eat and sleep Wink), it is probably not too much.

Agreed.

Likewise, a high sex drive just means you're horny a lot.
...but you don't rely upon sex as a means to get "love" or "approval" or to feel better about yourself

Sex addiction, porn addiction, nymphomania....without giving the clinical definition,
it is basically like any other addiction or disorder;
when people fixate or obsess on something to fill or cover a void in their own self-esteem;

a symptom might be that they cannot have healthy, happy relationships,
or that they cannot have sex WITHOUT porn on, at the same time.

I know a man who is a hardcore porn addict.

He is a sweet guy, he is very smart, educated, successful, very fit and attractive, and sophisticated.

He says that he always wanted to find "the right girl" to spend his life with,
but in the meantime, he began using webcams and internet sites to sexually cater to women online.

Somehow, as a teen, he got it into his head,
that his entire worth as a human being, and as man,
was measured by his sexual prowess;

The more women he sees paying attention to him, online,
the more obligated he feels to pander to them,
but of course it is endless, so he of course becomes anxious
...and then of course cannot perform;

then he feels inadequate, again;
so he tries harder;

the more he tries, the more he fails,
and then the more anxious he becomes,

with the result that he is now virtually impotent,
and his nerves are shot,
and he is terrified at the prospect of a real relationship...

....even though he says that is what he really wanted, all along.
