RE: Why did you come to this board?
I came to squash the use of imgfit tags... Dodgy

Naa... for the community.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

The hope to meet interesting people. No struggling, but like minded is probably the best answer. But probably not in the sense you're understanding it, since atheism wasn't the reason for my joining. It's only that atheists and skeptics often times make for more interesting company. Once the god clamps are off, the horizon usually broadens.

They make everything fit your screen. So if you use a large screen, (like my 32" TV/Monitor on my desk) then the picture is massssssssive. Tongue They're really supposed to be used to scale down super large pictures.

Mostly in jest, anyhow. Mostly. Big Grin

RE: Why did you come to this board?
initially to have questions answered by people that were educated on both sides of religion.

I chose to stay because the people who answer questions for me on a daily basis, are some of the kindest truthful people you will come across

If you are truly looking to broaden your intelligence, listen to these people, they are not full of bullshit like all the other religious sites.

RE: Why did you come to this board?
As someone from the god saturated south eastern USA, I need an occasional break from the religion that dominates this region. Even when my husband and I go on our daily walk, we have had a man walk up to us only to ask if we found a church yet. In my offline world, I have no friends who are atheists. This forum is how I socialize with people who share my disbelief in a deity. I like reading the debates between theists and atheists also.

To meet new people who are fellow atheists around the world

RE: Why did you come to this board?
Because my atheist friends IRL live far enough away that I don't see them very often.
