DAWN OF JUSTICE
#11
RE: DAWN OF JUSTICE
Okay, for those of you not in the know, this movie is loosely based upon the legendary graphic novel "The Dark Knight Returns" by Frank Miller. In it, Batman has been out of the game for about seven years, but a really violent gang takes over Gotham City. Batman comes out of retirement to save the city, only now he's lost his "no kill" sensibilities, and he becomes a bloodthirsty vigilante. Superman takes issue with Batman's approach, and they eventually fight over it with Batman donning a badass piece of power armor to take on the God-like Kryptonian.

They've been very tight-lipped about the actual conflict between the two in this movie, but they have said that this is definitely inspired by Miller's graphic novel. Zach Snyder can be hit and miss and Ben Affleck as Batman is definitely a frightening proposition, but I am still optimistic about this flick.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell
