Hope you'll do the same, when you get an eye infection, dumbass...

It's not all b.s., acupuncture & acupressure can be used to treat some ailments. For example, I use acupressure (points on my hands) to help relieve headaches. The real issue is when these methods are touted as 'holistic' or when claims are made that they can counter certain serious conditions: no number of needles in your nervous meridians are going to treat progressive lymphoma. You're right that there's a lot of misinformation out there and the esotericism of some of the cultural aspects of those methods protect them from rational enquiry (for reasons I can't quite understand!). IMO, we should get the real research done, find out when these treatments are useful and get some proper info out in to the public consciousness.

If it is a thrombosis, you should take homeopathic C20 semper exitus solution instead, acupuncture is a hoax!

I tried it! I practically drank the whole bottle and nothing happened! Except my urine was purple?

Quote:Yeah, I know meditation is meant to clear your head but I don't think you'll become more enlightened by sitting in a room full of candles chanting om over and over again.

Well, I admit that I meditate. My technique, however is a little bit different. I sit on a rock at the edge of a particularly fetid swamp and think, 'Dinosaurs are cool' over and over again.

I think meditation is good for you. Clears you out from everyday living but, so does going for a walk or swimming.
