I cannot imagine what it would be like to be a theist. the concept is alien to me.

I think, the question is a moot one, since what I consider to be good and right wouldn't, couldn't, change based on the belief in god. I would consider my life worthless and a lie if I deviated from my values. Btw, I also considered the original thread useless and never even looked at it. For the above reasons.
Are you asking me if my life would change if I woke up and believed that the christian god existed...or if I woke up and accepted christ as my personal saviour?
To the former, no, not a bit. To the latter....I don;t know that it would be an issue of my life changing from that point on so much as what weird ass thing happened to me in my sleep that I became a scapegoater while snoring.

Well there is tremendous difference, since Judaism doesn't come with a belief in hell. I mean I don't think that Theism is at all specific enough. Is there an afterlife? For me that's the more important hypothetical anyway. Or do I have to pick a particular one? All 3 Abrahamic religions have an afterlife, right?
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Hard to say.
Depends on the type of theist I became. If I became a Muslim I would likely at least start wearing a headscarf, possibly the black bodyrag the women "choose" to wear if I became fanatical enough. Would it change my personality? Possibly. I likely wouldn't be the outrageous flirt that I am now. Morality? Hard to judge. I think I'm generally a pretty good person now and, again dependant on the religion I adopted, that could change dramatically. As a devout Muslim woman, could I work on male patients? Jedi or GTFO.
I would probably become more passive, encouraging peace and diplomacy as the best options for situations and using violence as an absolute last resort. Pretty much the same as I am now, basically, except I'd have a fuckmothering lightsaber. Or at least you'd -believe- you had a lightsaber......
