Hmm! Still no one has answered the above question. It got moved to the previous page now.
I'll give it one more go round then I'll drop it and skulk away grumbling to myself.

Maybe they know better.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Say the Satanists wanted to erect that demon statue right in front of a prominent public building, which currently has no religious symbols anywhere near it.
(1) Would you personally agree this should be allowed?
(2) Do you think the authorities would allow it?

Not a Christian, but since you're chomping at the bit for an answer:
It seems to me that Cathy's response to (1) has been that she would be okay with it; her issue with the Baphomet statue was that she perceives/perceived it as a slight toward Christianity (that it was "defiling" the 10C monument Post #12) due to the proximity of the monuments but she seemed to repeatedly imply that if it were the only monument on capitol grounds she would have allowed it.

Only she could clarify the point, however; I don't mean to speak for her.
Frankly, that's as much as I care to comb the thread to quote her, I suggest you reread her posts to see if you get the same impression that I have.
Also note that in the last several pages here she has conceded at least a portion of her arguments throughout this thread: Post #308

1. No, but to be fair I don't believe any religious symbolism should be allowed on any government owned property
2. Probably not, but if they allow a Christian symbol, they should allow this as well.

I said it too rob, it got ignored. I had 2-3 main topics ignored as well, but that basically means they're not willing to honestly think about it, because it will contradict with views that they don't want to change. I said what if instead of the 10 commandments being on the court house, the 11 satanic rules (only) were on all the court houses, would you have a problem with it? No response. If they said yes, then that would mean that we could say, "See, that's why we don't want your bullshit on the court houses either." There's no point, the mental block is too strong. It's just the positive nature in me that wants to see them succeed in seeing everything from a neutral point of view, but the more realistic side of me has taken over my body while on this forum. However, the positive side still doesn't want to give up, but it usually ends up in fighting, because of blatant dishonesty, so I don't know what to do anymore.

Kingpin, you are my favorite theist on here. I seem very harsh (and harsh to most theists when talking about religion) on here sometimes, mostly because theists can't seem to grasp certain ideas, not to mention the dishonesty (and I can quote what I mean, but it still does nothing <not directed towards you>), but I mean no personal offense to you. Also, because of the evil religion does, the evil contained in the doctrines, and the evil executed because of what's in those doctrines. I honestly feel that things like judaism, islam, and christianity are heavily detrimental to society (and I can back this up with an innumerable amount of material), but it seems like you have a firmer grasp on the real world, and I would like to extend my kudos to you for that. You seem like a great guy. I feel you're almost there, because I offer you kudos for reading things like the God Delusion. I feel you would benefit from The Greatest Show on Earth: The Evidence for Evolution, because of some of the angles on evolution that you were talking about it the other day. It seems you still lean to presuppositions on certain things, but I get it, you're a christian. I, also, commend you on trying to read things on both sides, as I still do. I happily watched those apologists you told me about, and enjoyed them, but there just isn't enough for me there to go on. I honestly wish that many people could erase what's in their minds completely about religion, and pretend they just picked up the bible for the first time as an adult, going by what they understand about science, reason, and logic and look at it again. If people could do that, I feel, most of them would lose the religion pretty damned quick. 99.9% of scientists accepts evolution as fact. You can look at our skulls and skeletons, and line them up millions of years back, and see small changes over time. Although, I know the 99.9% drops when talking about how humans evolved.
I hope you can actually see where atheists are coming from when making fun of the jesus story, and the bible in general, because I knew when I was a devout catholic how the story sounded. I didn't want to talk about it at with non-religious friends, but I finally took that step from, knowing how ridiculous it sounded, to not believing in it because of how ridiculous it sounded. Before I ramble on too long about things that have no relevance to anything, I just want to say that you're a good dude and you can actually see how wrong it is to have just one religion on a public building. It seems like you'd be for taking the 10 commandments down, because they don't belong on public property, and I can commend you on that even more so, because you're a christian telling it like it is in that scenario. You realize that one religion shouldn't have special treatment unlike most theists on here. Thanks.

Very well said
I wish every Christian in the world was capable of such reflection, and were pushing for fairness to all. We'd have far less problems.
Speaking out against something your own religion has done takes guts and I respect it.
