I've been finding my own way just fine without your (or any other) gawd for better the 40 years now, despite having wasted much effort searching high and low for the elusive fucker for (almost) the first 20. Religion has no monopoly on light, knowledge or truth. In fact, I would say it's quite lacking in all three categories. Believe if you must, but please don't come here telling us how lost we are without your particular brand of snake oil.

If your way has lead you to rely on yourself rather then God, then, fine. You don't like to be reminded of God, his guidance, the path and journey towards him, but just as you like to be free to express what you think is wise and best, you should expect everyone to be able to express their beliefs and share their viewpoint of wisdom.

We are in incredible age where we can discuss matters at ease. Why block yourself from others attempt to help you from their perspective and remind you.

So you should be able to call my path a brand of snake oil, but, if I call you lost without it, then it's problematic?

When someone says "I don't give a damn if people believe in God", I am going to respond "Well you should because you need his light to be guided out of the darkness and not be lead astray towards the darkness".

You want to state an opinion? Fine. I have no problem with that. You state it as fact though. Please, learn the difference.

Actually, this thread has produced some of the most fruitful discussion I've read in a while on this forum.

From Theist perspective, we should care if you believe in God or not, because you will not find your way without his light, and you will not fulfill your purpose without his guidance from our perspective.   Therefore from our perspective, we care to for you to be reminded of his path and light.
