A Serious Proposal

We aren't going to fragment the subforums further and add additional layers of rules to satisify your preferences - and frankly, I'm not the least bit interested in discussing the matter further, either.  We certainly aren't going to be creating zones where speech is restricted any more than it is in the open forum because doing so is inconsistent with the core values of the owner and management of this site.

Fine.

But it was never about satisfying my preferences exclusively...or did you not notice what TheRocketSurgeon wrote?

No, you don't. You completely misunderstood him, and took away from what he said what you wanted to hear, and not what was actually being said.

Which, sadly, appears to be business as usual.

So, in essence, a sub-forum for people to play by your rules, and by what you constitute as serious discussion.

I'm quite surprised to be honest, I never thought anything you posted was serious in the first place.

Oh wait.

Thank you!
A Christian told me: if you were saved you cant lose your salvation. you're sealed with the Holy Ghost

I replied: Can I refuse? Because I find the entire concept of vicarious blood sacrifice atonement to be morally abhorrent, the concept of holding flawed creatures permanently accountable for social misbehaviors and thought crimes to be morally abhorrent, and the concept of calling something "free" when it comes with the strings of subjugation and obedience perhaps the most morally abhorrent of all... and that's without even going into the history of justifying genocide, slavery, rape, misogyny, religious intolerance, and suppression of free speech which has been attributed by your own scriptures to your deity. I want a refund. I would burn happily rather than serve the monster you profess to love.

There already is a subforum for the collective evidence for god, Can't you see it? Wink

Or it might - just might - have something to do with what we've all told you. Now, grow up and stop sulking.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

I think everyone should just refuse to post in any of his bullshit threads until he turns over a new leaf.

Which is kind of my point.  Randy is never going to change, and we can't control that.  So, we have to change what we can control, and that is how we react to him.  I'm guessing Randy would completely forget our web address if we all just stopped replying to him.  He's an antagonizer and getting his kicks out of our responses to him. If we refuse to feed the junkie, he'll get his drug elsewhere.

But I get it. Reading Randy's garbage makes you want to smack it down, and pointing just how bad his nonsense is makes us feel better ourselves.  At some point, however, we have to take responsibility for perpetuating his stupidity.  It's easy to tear him down, though, but personally, I feel that low-hanging fruit loses its taste after a while.
