Funny how the situation always looks different after the facts come out. If the cop needs to be punished, I say, by all means come down on him. But let's at least wait until the facts are known before we jump bad on him. Since these type of incidents have become so much in the public eye lately, it's like 9 out of 10 times the victim is a sleazeball and the cop was totally justified in taking the action he did. If the cop was in the wrong, then give him what he deserves.

Pretty sure running from police should not warrant the death penalty. If you can't apprehend a perp without killing him, it's better to let him get away for the moment.

Especially since, having not been caught, he can't even be -guilty- of a crime yet, regardless of what penalty that crime may carry. Food for thought.

No. I think we should find out what actually happened and under what circumstances before we go off. From investigations performed so far over the last couple of years I believe that the cop is usually justified in his actions. Of course, I would agree this isn't always case and that we should lay the blame where it belongs and come down hard on wrongdoers. If a cop is acting a racist loose cannon then come down on him with everything we have, but let's wait to find out the facts before we make that decision.
