Georgia police officer charged with making up story suspect shot her

A Georgia police officer falsely claimed a suspect shot her in her bulletproof vest and ran off into nearby woods, officials said Friday.

Agents with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation secured a warrant charging Jackson Officer Sherry Hall with false statements, tampering, interference with government property and a violation of oath of office, according to the GBI.

I'm surprised they didn't give her a medal.

Baltimore man dies after being beaten by cops following 911 call to take him to the hospital

A 21-year-old man, who was beaten by police after they responded to a 911 call requesting medical assistance for him, died in a Baltimore area hospital on Wednesday, reports the Guardian.

Tawon Boyd was pronounced dead after doctors failed to revive him following his encounter with the police where he was allegedly punched multiple times and choked by an officer.

Calling the cops for "help" seems to always be a bad idea.

No doubt.  The chief has already said that no charges will be filed even though his department is no longer investigating the case.

He's right, of course.  The blue wall of bullshit crosses department lines.

Nor did the video show the second officer doing anything to restrain his out of control partner.

That's because a new law that goes into effect on October 1, exactly one week after the Scott footage was released, is set to block the public from obtaining similar kinds of recordings from body cameras or dashboard cameras.

The cops claimed Walker, an ex-con, ran down Treadwell and pointed a handgun in their direction. Gordon and his partner Michael Smith fired three times. Gordon hit Walker in the chest, the NYPD said.

Despite the NYPD’s claim that Walker was shot in the chest, his hospital discharge report obtained by the Daily News tells a different story. It says that Walker suffered a “gunshot wound to the upper back.”

In addition, the NYPD initially reported that cops recovered a black Smith and Wesson 9-mm. handgun and one bullet lying next to the wounded man, and even released a photo of the weapon to the media.

In a decision issued during Walker’s criminal case, state Supreme Court Justice Stephen Rooney came to a similar conclusion — that Walker had no gun in his hands when the cops fired.
