I was considering douchenozzle, but I might go with a more relevant "Why people feel the need to star out words" or maybe "Beyond PC" who knows. I'll think of something.

It actually really doesn't hurt anyone. A thread titled Nigger and started by an ex user named the same serves two purposes. The first is to show people just how they look when they're racist, like fools. The second is to show trolls just exactly how our staff deals with people who come here only to disrupt the forum.[...]

By letting their sh*t fester out in the open, for anyone to see? How is that supposed to accomplish anything? There's literarily nothing mods can do to a troll. The best thing to do about them is purge their sh*t and move on. If you think the next troll will be put off, after seeing how this one was banned, after sh*tting all over the forums for a while - I'm going to have to wholeheartedly disagree.

Sure, it can be argued that the word "nigger" as used by an obviously racist troll doesn't hurt anyone. But it doesn't look good either, which was my point.

Also - I don't have the "need" to star out anything - it's a convention I've adopted, since I didn't think anyone would have a problem with it. I stand corrected, although I still think more people get a negative feeling, while reading the word - regardless of context, than seeing it censored. Somebody update me on what the "consensus" is on that, please because I really don't give a flying f*** either way.

This nigger fucking loves seeing nigger on the first page of new posts continuously. It really makes me feel like I'm a part of things here. It's also welcoming to any other niggers browsing the forums, that may want to consider joining.

There's sure to be a few complaints, but this is free speech we're talking about. Everyone should be able to post nigger til their heart's content AND see the word nigger front and center, each and every time they log in.

In the spirit of free speech, any nigger that doesn't like being inundated with word nigger should shut the fuck up. Free speech does not apply niggers trying to ruin everybody's  Nigger Thread fun. Why in the hell should anyone's stupid nigger feelings be more important than the little charge some folks get out of seeing the word nigger all day long?

We don't as a matter of policy censor threads, even ones like this that are highly charged and are inflammatory and offensive. The staff of AF.org values free expression, but we also value the completely understandable feelings of our members and readers for whom this topic may create unwelcome feelings.

If this thread only contained posts from a banned troll, we would have no problem removing them, along with the troll. However, that is not the case, and I personally am loath to remove posts made by our members.

However, as this thread is wholly inappropriate for the Introductions forum, I have absolutely no problem locking the thread in accordance with our policy for this subforum.
