I have come with a Great Revelation, I have found God!  The Sky God was not a delusion after all !

I only got the pseudo-TV-version-indoctrination instead of Catholic School and such that the rest of the family knew, guess it didn't stick. The Leather Nun and other Underground Comics didn't help along with Industrial Rock and Alternative Music.  Around 2005 I gave up all hope to all religions because they all can't be right and not because of unbelievable stories, but I examined it scientifically and the outcome was none of the above.  Then I moved away from the huge metroplexes and into the sticks and low and behold the little library could do inter-library loans which all the others wouldn't do for me. Without even trying I fell back into the catastrophism from above subject. The scientist talked about problems within the interdisciplinary studies and that someone should look into the mythology aspect of Spacefalls within human 'history'.

So I did some extensive research for pure entertainment to see the verity between Earth impacts from Space and Mythology and Religion.  I read the oldest and most reliable information from around the world, from the Eddas, Vedas, Cuneiform, Hieroglyphics, the Bible, Maya Glyphs and codices, plus the myths of the Chinese, Japanese, Russian, North American Indigenous, Australia, Peru, ect. +++. What I found is, they are all singing the same tune, chanting the same lines, telling the same story... The story goes, that a large fiery mountain came out of the Pleiades and caused the Deluge and conflagration from the sky 13,000 years ago and killed many humans, exterminated a whole culture (the Clovis), and wiped out many mega fauna and that in the future it will happen again. This is why Mankind has always worshiped the Sun and had a constant vigil on the Stars, because he was deathly afraid it will be taken away again for a long period of time. It is still commemorated today with Halloween, the Festival of the Dead, and Ancestor Worship around the world.

I looked through about 15 pages of the members list (don't find that very often) and found it very entertaining and then a page and a half of introductions. This forum must be a wet dream for physiologists ! LOL Oh, BTW, the bunny eating lettuce is my favorite avatar so far.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it had more to do with crops than comets.

I've got an impact nut over at Archaeologica.  According to him virtually every event in human history results from a rock hitting the earth.

The only problem is that in an age before satellite communications  if you are close enough to where an impactor lands you are going to be killed which will seriously limit your ability to say "hey...we just got hit by a space rock."

If you are far enough away you will look up and say "hey, did you hear something?"
