Making excuses for fat people isn't going to do shit. Giving them a good diet and stop letting these shitty fast food companies and processed food companies get slots on television. I have 0 fucking sympathy for the fat people in this country, they caused their own demise. The sooner we start advocating for a change instead of coddling their disease, the better. I'm torn between agreeing and disagreeing with you. Not all fat people are fat because they eat too much, that's true, but I'd wager the majority of them are. There's a big caveat to that though and that's where I disagree with DFM. The "eating too much" part, in my experience, is more often than not just a symptom of a bigger problem. When I was a teenager, I was heavily depressed and eating food was a way to cope with that because it made me feel better for a little time. It wasn't that I was hungry all the time, it simply made me feel good to eat. Eventually I was able to replace that coping mechanism with anti-depressants and therapy. It took me years to get there, but today I'm finally at a healthy weight again. DFM, from what I gathered by reading your posts, you seem to have very simplistic views with seemingly no nuance to them. Once you realize how complex humans are, you probably won't be so quick to judge people. I'm very pro health. I am against anything having to do with over weight habits. Yes, I realize that there's many reasons that a person could become over weight. I have been over weight about twice in my life, it was a horrible thing which I overcame by becoming serious about the food I eat. I don't put junk in my body and I am staunchly opposed to any notions that go against health. Yes, I agree that there's a lot of reasons that people can become over weight, I think that we should look at all of them and try to make a culture that is more sensitive to health. From what I have seen, I have been called weird for eating the strict diet that I eat. It is just down right depressing that I don't see more people taking my side with this issue, so they can protect the fatty feelings.

You don't think you deserve to be taxed for bad grades? Sure, the genes play a role here, but aren't most people just lazy? Odds are it's lazyness and lack of incentive, just like with fat people. What do you expect me to do? Shut up to protect loser feelings? /just to be clear, I don't mean any of these things. I'm just mirroring your thoughtless and ignorant attitude towards others

The model of education that we have, I believe, doesn't account for the individual learning style of all kids. It clumps them together into classrooms. I for one work better when I am one on one, because I can go at my own pace and not have to go through all the redundant parts of class. They teach kids in a rigid, fixed way. With food, there's a mass misconception that it's just cool to "eat like an american" and "live it up", which is just ignorant and fatalistic, which is just some of the reasons why unhealthy lifestyles are so prevalent in our country. You're willing to throw the health of citizens under the bus, because you'd rather make nonequivalent comparisons, which are actually just making fun of me anyways.(November 30, 2015 at 4:46 pm)DespondentFishdeathMasochismo Wrote: I'm not going to confide in people who use things I say to taunt me.
