I have never read the books, but I always meant to one day read them.
I will most likely watch the show to see if it is any good, but I am wary of it being hosted on MTV.

Never read the books either, but had planned on checking out the series. It appears to be of high production quality despite being on MTV.
We'll see.

Cheap copy of Tolkien, each book was basically the same as all the others with a slightly different maguffin.
