I've never heard either...I'm struggling how to smoothly say the t with the sh. It sounds like I'm just making funny noises instead of speaking.

Aych or eych. Probably I would have to hear you say it out loud to see what's going on here. I just don't know how you say a t with and sh

I suspect we probably mean the same thing, I just assumed that for Americans ch ~ k and so "tsh" seemed more appropriate

Ohhh ok that makes since. Sometimes ch does sound like k, but usually not I don't think. It is used a lot with t though. Like bitch, match, batch, watch. Sorry. This should have been obvious but my brain was not picking up on tsh hehe oops
