Akira has a great soundtrack through and through, but this song stands out for me. Highly recommend giving it a listen.

The best complete soundtrack ever, IMO. Scores composed and conducted by James Horner, performed by the London Symphony Orchestra. Seventeen's my favorite, but they're all excellent.
Also, In the House-In a Heartbeat, composed by John Murphy is a great individual score. It's been renamed and used in a few other films, but was originally created for 28 Days Later. And both movies are awesome as hell, btw.

My contribution is Summer Madness by Kool and the Gang. It was prominently featured in Rocky, but wasn't part of the soundtrack.
