Women's clothes?
RE: Women's clothes?
I'm not afraid to ask the difficult questions.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

And then if you get up does someone else sit with their bare privates on that same seat? Are there like, designated seats or something where each person can only sit on his or her own seat, or perhaps sanitary wipes where you are required to wipe the seat before and after you sit on it?

It's a good question, and how is the food displayed? I mean is Larry reaching across the table to grab a biscuit and dangling his balls in the mashed potatoes?

Omg that was an epic post.

Examples of women who want to restrict and oppress men (the way females have been oppressed for millennia) will be cited as examples of what they surely don't want to be. Even the assertions of heterosexual, feminine women that "feminist" only means someone who wants gender equality will usually fall on unaccepting ears.

I believe that this is because mainstream media still celebrates maleness and - - - just consider all of the advertising that uses scantily clad women, for a mild and minor example - - still wants to keep women as controllable objects.  Therefore, in my humble opinion, females of all stripes need to keep speaking up for gender equality.  Equal pay for equal work/skill - we still don't have it.  So my friends, I don't understand why ALL women aren't "feminist".  (Not feminazi, now, just feminist!    Wink )   Why SHOULDN'T I call myself a feminist?  I'm an educated, professional woman who has endured a lot of crap -- simply because I was female.

I'm a feminist an have no problem saying so. If certain people are misinformed or choose to define feminism solely by it's lunatic fringe element, that's unfortunate...but it doesn't change the fact that I support equality for women. By definition, that makes me a feminist.

If loudmouthed, know-nothings take that to mean that slicing dicks off en masse is part of my agenda, that's their problem.

I'm a feminist, but I'm also an egalitarian and I prefer that label because I like to advocate for equal rights for all human beings.

I'm just defending rapist huh?

Let me give you an example;

One night at approx. 2am my significant other and I went out to celebrate her birthday against my better judgement in New Orleans.

I being a native of sorts kinda knew better, but went anyway.

Upon arrival a predatory criminal noticed us. Long story short I was robbed, my woman was nearly dragged off and raped and I was shot at.

Now, if I had used the little judgement, instead of letting greed and pride cloud my judgement I could have  averted the crime by easily not putting myself in that situation in the first place.

I guess to you, I'm defending the dog that robbed, attempted to rape, and shot at me though, right?

So, you do actually do understand  the difference between minimizing risk and shifting blame, then? When it applies to you and yours, deterring rape is largely a matter of risk assessment, and perpetrators are dogs.

When it comes to others, rape is essentially of matter of the victim asking for it. The perps are simply men being men, unable to resist the free samples and whorish delicacies flaunted before them.

Pure, unadulterated, hypocritical garbage.
And exactly what I'd expect for a sanctimonious sack of shit.
I never said that or implied except to your twisted loathsome perception.

All rapists are worse than dogs my friend.

Women who want to dress in any fashion whatsoever should be allowed just that, in a perfect world. This existence, at this moment, isn't perfect. I do not, and will not ever place my own personal worth over that of any other human. I would gladly do all in my power to stop someone from perpetrating such, freely, without self regard.

I'm sorry that my words offended you initially. I could have put it more gently, but may not have gotten the alarming attention of others.

I do not condone rape.

I condone equality and utter peace.

It really does all go back to greed. A rapist is greedy.

A woman dressing for attention is greedy.

There would be no rapists if there was humility on the potential rapists part. Potential rapists would be even less inclined to lust or greedily want if the women showed humility too, by dressing in a less sexual manner. Admittedly this really would be futile in itself. The whole way people want for themselves without regard for the well-being of other life is what has to change.

I also think men should be able to dress in any way they wish, unfortunately we live in a world that....oh wait. Never mind.

You keep saying this, but do you have any sort of statistic or source to prove that a man is less likely to rape women who are dressed "modestly?"

If this is the case, then why do so many women in the Middle East still get raped if they are covered head to foot in black sheets?

Also, I know this is not relevant and won't change my perception of you, but I've just been curious for a while now... what religion are you?

I keep thinking either Muslim or fundamentalist Christian, but I may be wrong.

Rape has nothing to do with lust.

Greed. Like I said.

Imagine what happens when the same greedy men come to another land where women dress differently, oh wait wasn't that just in the news; European women getting raped by supposed Muslims.

I admitted that it was probably a marginal difference at best, and that greed is the issue in general.
