Kingdom Tower in Jedda:

The structure will be around 2200 feet of 'actual' building and around 1100 feet of decorative spire on top.  Odd. the construction budget  is around 1/3 of the Burj Kahlifa, an existing building that is ~600' shorter.

Haven't heard anything definite, but it would be a safe assumption it is being built with foreign workers and they are being treated very poorly indeed.
 The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

Oh man, haven't heard about the Jeddah Tower in a while. Originally it was going to be one mile tall, but they reduced it to a kilometre because of something about it collapsing, the pussies.

I may be wrong, but as far as I know, it is still under construction. Generally, might expect a huge drop in oil revenues for the Saudi Kingdom to squelch a big project like this.

Of course, the Burj Kahlifa is completed and there would be some competitive urge to carry on.

With some of these tall buildings I do have to think "why?". Just for show?

Maybe it's just my pet hate of skyscrapers, but it just seems to pointless to me. It's "I have the biggest dick" represented in buildings. They're even phallic shaped tbh.

These people don't learn. They're just asking for god to come down and scatter their speech again. Unless god's cool with tall buildings now.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:
