I'm a theist. So why can't I bring myself to believe in the religious horseshit?

So far, the arbitrary violation seems to be what is unobservable.

That's why god's so popular. If god could be observed, people would actually start asking questions about it.
What does popularity have to do with the observable universe or the formation of it and it a inhabitants?

LOL. Fine. Then you're just a dumb adult (teenager?), who got brainwashed later than most. Or a crazy/deluded person, who thinks he experienced god. A born-again zealot. Most of your statements are meaningless platitudes, that have been in circulation for Milennia, among gullible, ignorant people, desperate for validation of their irrational beliefs and unwilling, or unable to use scientific methodology.

"Only nothing can come from nothing"? LOLOLOLOL... Seriously - that's just bad poetry and has no bearing on reality. At best - it's a heuristic, a replacement for logic, an approximation of our immediate reality, that we commonly use for the purposes of the small part of the Universe, that we deal with in our everyday existence. This kind of "folksy wisdom" works as far as it goes, but only stupid people would try and apply those principles to the unknown.
You can call me crazy. That's fine. Zealot fits.

Could you list my beliefs or views based on them that have been in circulation for millennia?

I'm curious...since you know me and my thought.

Yes, maybe that's exactly what he needs to sleep at night...

This is why forums like this where you can't make out who's on the other side can be a bit rough for some people who just want some reassurance...
Sorry pops ...Maybe this forum isn't for you... We're atheists ... we have no need to sugar coat anything... we know and accept that life can be a little meaningless at times..
I understand that I'm not exactly welcome here. But I was atheist for over twenty years, and have never fit in anywhere. So it's nothing new to me.

I do appreciate your tone though. It is much more productive and beneficial to speak with others in a mutually respectful tone than one of mutual disdain.

So thanks,

Peace

Infinite regression applied to the observable and testable.

Violation of the statement I made about course and effect pertains too to the observable.

Neither of them apply to GOD.

Really, based on sub atomic particulate; neither infinite regression or the breaking of any rule is true, as all matter/existence is of the same substance, which is actually more aptly described as a liquid than a solid.

It's good that people from all kinds of backgrounds can come here for civilized discussions.

I'm looking forward to that volcano stripper. Praise FSM!
