I agree, if you take away the fact that the Rey was less annoying than either versions of anakin skywalker, and Daisy Ridley had far more Chrisma than either Jake Lloyd or Hayden Christiansen, the force awakens would by most other measures I care about be much worse than any of the sequels.
I only saw it once with my kiddos a few weeks after it came out. I don't know why people were so excited about it, camping-out for days (weeks?) on end for the premiere showing. It definitively has some cult-aspects to it; a woman whom I work with is already talking about watching Episodes 1-7 in a marathon viewing (17 hours?)
