In Bed With The Mormons and Feeling Dirty But Elated

It's a old saw that politics make strange bed fellows, and while I've watched it happen to other unlikely bunkmates, I've never climbed into the enemy's bed with such wanton abandon myself. But today I'm ready to go hug me some missionaries (or shake their hands at the very least). Whatever their reasons, three cheers for the Utah GOP primary voters who didn't just fail to support Trump, but stomped his guts out. And better yet, if Trump is nominated, polls show Utah voting blue---it'll match their skys and their mountains. It will also change the political map irrevocably. The mormons are more moral than the evangelicals even if they must vote for an evangelical like Cruz to show it.
In the spirit of full disclosure, I am libertarian, and all my votes are a compromise between my leftward social tendencies and my free market economic tendencies. Trump, the racist tariff and torture proponent hits all of my negatives. Add that he doesn't only lie, but doesn't even seem to value truth, and I'd consider Gingrich before Trump. Dirty politcally shifting, bend the rules if I think I'm right Hillary looks like an angel of light in comparison.
I hereby declare hug a mormon week.

In high school I knew some Mormon sisters I would totally get into bed with. I definitely would have felt dirty... but elated?

Yeah, we get a few here in northern PA and southern NY (more visiting than living, as the holy beginnings of the religion took place about 50 miles north of me; the river I can see from my office as I type this, the Susquehanna, is the river that Joseph Smith was baptized in before moving out west).
For what it's worth, here's a map of Mormon distribution in the USA

A quick glance shows that Utah and Idaho are the only states with any majority-mormon counties, and it appears that only 13 states have any counties that are more than 10% mormon.
(also, I'm pissed, because the new computer system we have at work is automatically capitalizing words like "jesus" and "god" and "mormon" which I certainly make a point not to do. Ah well #firstworldproblems)

Speaking from the outside, Donald Trump seems to lack presidential dignity.
I think he would struggle to command the respect of sovereign leaders, and indeed anyone who was in a position to say no to him, particularly the Chinese.
