It's not as if these things wouldn't happen with christians and jews too. Abortion doctors are quite oftenly fair game for the righteous. Or the jew, just released from prison, stabbing random people on the streets in Jerusalem.

As opposed to large scale attacks, which (at the moment) seem to be confined to Islamists, with Breivik being the possible exemption, single attacks happen quite frequently with any fanatic of any color.

Why? We had some story a couple of months ago, of a woman killing another one for being an atheist. It's not scary, just the usual fanatic procedure. These people exist and we have to deal with them several times a year. Wether it's a christian, a jew or a muslim.

I just think it's one thing that someone exposed to extreme material and radicalised could become violent but entirely different if they had no exposure and just flipped. Having said that, it would be difficult to not be exposed to stories of religious violence nowadays.

Well, they all are exposed to some kind of indoctrination. It doesn't matter if it's some raving pastor, Mullah or Rabbi or just the book of their choice itself. They don't have to be organised to be mad, you know.
