I'm much more a fan of the pop vote. However, I wonder if it's actually a case of "be careful what you wish for, as it may come true".

Holy shit, I knew you were biased against Bernie but rofl at that title.
I'm not saying there's still a lot of hope for him. I'm saying the idea that he is "wasting everyone's time" is ridiculous. Who's time is he wasting? The people already voting for Clinton? Or are you simply scared that the longer he stays in the race the more potential bullshit he can point out in both the scam-artists currently leading each of the parties. Which is better:

I kind of agree with Min. Hillary is the inevitable winner. Uniting the party is best FOR 2016. I think Bernie may be staying in for the purposes of moving the conversation to the left beyond that. I can respect that. I know I'm probably a minority here in that I don't want to see the Democrats migrate to the far left but even so, I support Bernie's right to his cause. I would personally rather he get to fuck out of the way at this point but my principles dictate that he should do what he's got to do - as long as he doesn't do what Ralph FUCKING IDIOT Nader did and run as a 3rd-party candidate - thus dividing the liberal vote enough to give the election to the conservative candidate. But Bernie won't do that.
I would like to see him get out too. I don't agree with him but i think we're strong enough (particularly if Trump is the opponent) to let him have his say. I strongly prefer Hillary but no American election should be a coronation. We don't do royalty. You have to earn it here. Put on the gloves and FIGHT. It isn't pretty but I think it's the best way.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

At this point Bernie is angling to make a speech in prime time and little more. He could probably get that by supporting Hillary tomorrow. |
