Oh, the Poor Republicunts.

However will they spin this into another Obama foreign policy "disaster?"

Quote:ISIS is losing the war
Quote:So long as ISIS (or its predecessors, the Islamic State in Iraq and al Qaeda in Iraq) remained in the shadows as a terrorist group, and stuck to its core competencies of assassination and suicide bombs, it was very difficult to find and root out, subject only to intelligence-driven raids by the commandos of the Joint Special Operations Command (Delta Force and SEAL Team 6, mostly). But ISIS' strategy of creating a political entity on the ground has also made it vulnerable to both airpower and conventional armies, while--as events of the last 24 hours show--it is still subject to JSOC kill/capture operations. So while the implementation of the U.S. strategy has been scandalously slow, it is now clearly demonstrating its effectiveness.
"Scandalously slow" or as fast as our alleged allies could move? The Iraqi army is still not ever going to be confused with The 300 Spartans.

Of course, Iraq does seem to be the weak link in the chain.

Quote:With Iraq Mired in Turmoil, Some Call for Partitioning the Country
Quote:With tens of thousands of protesters marching in the streets of Baghdad to demand changes in government, Iraq’s Shiite prime minister, Haider al-Abadi, appeared before Parliament this week hoping to speed the process by introducing a slate of new ministers. He was greeted by lawmakers who tossed water bottles at him, banged on tables and chanted for his ouster.
Oh, well. Thanks, Dubya.

Republicans want ISIS to win in your point of view...?

They don't want Obama to defeat them.

He already caught Osama Bin Laden. If they let him defeat ISIS while he's still president, people might start to look at the black guy favorably.

He hasn't got that low of an approval rate as the Repubs want to make everyone believe. 52 percent according to the latest Gallup poll. As opposed to Shrub, who was on a continuous downhill race. Again, according to Gallup.
For me, without giving Obama too much credit, it's sad to see the last intellectual leave the White House. Whoever wins the next election, they won't have the same format. It's only the Limbo dance question: How low can you go?

Let me get this straight - in your mind, republicans would rather ISIS spread and murder, rape, and terrorize innocent civilians than have to deal with Obama doing something successful?

The difference being, of course, that the Iraqis don't have the advantage of fighting in a bottleneck.

Exactly.
BTW, that has been their policy for the last 8 years.
In case you forgot.
