For the record, I personally don't hate anyone for whatever religion they choose to follow, nor whatever beliefs they espouse - however risible. What I do hate are people who use their religion as a shield to hide their bigotry, moral hypocrisy and criminal activity.

I know some people think it's a meaningless distinction, but the many, many upstanding and honorable Christians are why I try to use the term 'Christianists' when I'm talking about people acting badly in the name of Christianity.
