Recently he had a stroke do to unresolved high blood pressure issues he's been having. He is on the mend and improving. It was really good to hear him and he's speaking very well. Hoping for a full recovery!

Well, it's from Feb right after his stoke but I hadn't heard any updates on how he was doing so I went looking. I enjoyed hearing him again and his voice was pretty strong considering. I'm sure he's fully recovered now.

The thing about getting sick like that is that you will usually go through it again and not recover.

Not true. My dad had his first stroke 20+ yrs ago and 8 since then. He's recovered every time and is 93 and still lives at home.
