To circumcise or not to circumcise?

I know that, in America, it is legally the parents' decision. My argument is not that it's not legally their choice, but that it should not be.

This kind of makes me want to write a scene in a novel whereby a son must become circumcised as an adult and blames his mother for not doing it when he was an infant, thus causing a rift in their relationship whereby she must rethink whether she had made the correct decision.

I can almost guarantee you would. As I've said before, I can basically pull back my foreskin and make my penis look / feel like a circumcised one. I've tried masturbating both by using the foreskin, and with the foreskin held back, and the former feels *so* much better.

I can't think of a single reason, other than a legitimate medical issue, where a man would willingly have his foreskin cut off.

I think the analogy I used earlier about blind people saying they aren't missing out on anything is accurate.

Here's some information in case you're interested. As far as I can find, there are no medical groups that recommend infant circumcision. There are many groups that highly discourage it, and in many countries it is illegal.

The last quote here is from a link within the link provided and is a set of UK guidelines on what is an acceptable reason to circumcise. Notice prettiness of penis and hygiene are both not listed.
