I demand a referendum be used to determine these policies. #freedom Tongue

Incidentally, the original COPA included the following definition:
Quote:``(6) Material that is harmful to minors.--The term
    `material that is harmful to minors' means any communication,
    picture, image, graphic image file, article, recording,
    writing, or other matter of any kind that is obscene or
    that--

      ``(A) the average person, applying contemporary community
    standards, would find, taking the material as a whole and
    with respect to minors, is designed to appeal to, or is
    designed to pander to, the prurient interest;

      ``(B) depicts, describes, or represents, in a manner
    patently offensive with respect to minors, an actual or
    simulated sexual act or sexual contact, an actual or
    simulated normal or perverted sexual act, or a lewd
    exhibition of the genitals or post-pubescent female breast
;
    and

      ``(C) taken as a whole, lacks serious literary, artistic,
    political, or scientific value for minors.

(emphasis mine)

I've been watching Botched and curiously, the boobie reconstructions don't bother me.  They blur out the nipples; and the cleavage, under hang, ripples, unsymmetry, and various other breastical anomalies don't upset me.

There was one ep where a woman had nipples tattooed on (actually, it's the preferred technique) and I couldn't stand to watch, but that was mostly from imagining how painful it potentially was.

BTW, even the 3000 cc rebuild didn't make me barf or anything.  That poor lady, glad they fixed her up.

Now before you think I'm going off tangentially, they had a guy with a huge pec problem they fixed up with an implant, and that was really compelling TV viewing.  I'm not much into bodybuilders, but the guy seemed nice enough, and it was amazing to see how well he was fixed up.

Yeah, he was kinda attractive; maybe being open about his problem and getting it fixed on a TV show = bravery/courage/comfort with himself regardless and I translate that to 'masculinity' and there we are . . .

{I can find his before picture on line, but not an after, I won't post either without finding both.  The reconstruction was really amazingly well done}

OK, here we go:

With the help of a special consultant, they were able to contour some compatible bio/foam material to make a custom implant to put in Albert's left chest. Albert has a rare medical condition where he was born with out on of the major pec muscles on one side.  He's into body building and the right one bulked up just fine, but the left one, being absent, would not develop no matter how much exercising he did.

Doesn't look pornographic anyway. Couldn't one safely post female breasts in non-pornographic context? Or is it totally not allowed here?

No idea, you'd have to ask a staff member for clarification on that.

This medical stuff is really interesting.

A new topic I'm getting in to. Never occurred to me I could watch modest film clips of breastesses being revamped, reworked and overhauled till I started watching Botched.

BUT has it, is it and will it be upheld equally by the mods, is the question to be answered.

No, the rule is no pornography, where pornography is defined as, "an explicit description or display of sexual organs or activity."  The question at issue would seem to be, are male breasts not sexual organs but a woman's breasts are?  Traditional society says yes.  Is that sexist?  I don't know.

Given that forum rules are driven by legal definitions, and the legal definitions have been overwhelmingly drawn up by male legislators, I'd say that the forum rules are sexist, but that the forum management is not responsible for the inherent sexism.
