Really? I know your mailing address...

Oh and I wanted to say that's so crazy that Cloud-fare gives out free SSL Certs now. That saves a good USD 70/yr even just for the cheapest options available. Why do I never know about these things!!?

---[edit]

I have just tweaked my website, it is now https://blog.aractus.com/ and it will not accept insecure connections (or rather it will redirect incoming users from the HTTP protocol to the secure version of the website). Big Grin

Grade A protection too (same as AF as it happens)

So am I to understand the ads will be removed once the site is fully funded?

The WIN/Gallup End of Year Survey 2013 found the US was perceived to be the greatest threat to world peace by a huge margin, with 24% of respondents fearful of the US followed by: 8% for Pakistan, and 6% for China. This was followed by 5% each for: Afghanistan, Iran, Israel, North Korea. -LINK

Well, anyone who knows something about domains could find it easily I suppose. Most people don't know that.

Also, how on earth were you spending 70 USD a year for an SSL certificate? PositiveSSL were selling them for $9 a year.

An interesting use case:  Long-distance backpackers can mail supplies, fresh boots, etc. to themselves c/o General Delivery.

Yeah, that's how I use it more or less, when I'm out traveling. Most people are unaware of General Delivery, but if you are a nomad it is a must. But potentially it has a lot of uses, like if you didn't want to give out your address to someone. I guess people would still know the town, but you could even have something general deliveried to the next town or something.

I'd have to change the blog address though since the $9 option only secures TLD and www.TLD. Let's Encrypt is a completely free and not for profit Certificate Authority, how great is that!

I'm saving every last dollar for my wedding in September but once that is over I can set something up! Gotta make sure this place stays around!
