It's awesome that god works in such mysterious ways.

He works in such mysterious ways that theists can automatically make a claim to his mysteriousness when something good happens yet ignore him when something bad happens.

It is a very flexible delusion.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

OK, then alternative approaches are medicine.

Yes, I do, as you're letting me define it.

If you're referring to prescription drugs, no, I'm not currently taking any. Last time I did was a few years ago, when I took some antibiotics for what was likely a bacterial lung infection.

Just so it is clear he does use medicine when it suits Dodgy

I have a triple by-pass scheduled next Monday.

Routine for me, but I might sit back and turn it over to the "alternatives".

Let's see how we go...

I wish you the best of luck, darling. I have no doubt, however, that you will return stronger than ever. You have it in you to survive.

I'd just love to see Alpha males face if he was in for a triple by-pass and a bunch of woo woo priests/ministers came in to do the operation.

I would suggest brown sheets to hide his religious conflict ...

And a few hundred years ago, such an infection might've quite easily killed you or made your dick (the one between your legs, not the one currently sprouting from your forehead) fall off or some other horrible, ungood thing happen.
I would have likely died at birth centuries ago due to problems I had with an infected umbilical cord - but thanks to medical science, here I stand today, blessed with the ability to name thee a dickhead ^_^

Medical science didn't allow that, your ego did.
