That's not exactly an argument. We can't assume the government lies about everything because of a few bad apples and what have you. Society probably wouldn't work if they lied about everything.

Not likely, and the fact that you are focusing on the aspect of money speaks volumes.

Speaks volumes about what? Speak your mind clearly, I won't mind.

Think advertisers that can't advertise on mainstream sites. I have no idea how much they made but they did definitely serve ads. As insanely popular as their site was, I would not be surprised if the money was substantial.

Whatever. Governments can't do anything about the internet or piracy now anyway.

What the United States Government fails to understand is these torrent sites are just directories. Like a phone book. The phone numbers still exist if you destroy all phone books in the same way that shutting down websites doesn't affect the distribution of torrents. It's merely an inconvenience to people.

I'm surprised no one has pointed out the irony here.

Quote:It also shows that Apple handed over personal details of Vaulin after the investigator cross-referenced an IP-address used for an iTunes transaction with an IP-address that was used to login to KAT’s Facebook account.

“Records provided by Apple showed that [email protected] conducted an iTunes transaction using IP Address 109.86.226.203 on or about July 31, 2015. The same IP Address was used on the same day to login into the KAT Facebook,” the complaint reads.

It seems the guy got caught, because he made an iTunes transaction... Should have f*cking torrented it, man.
