Recurring Dreams
#11
RE: Recurring Dreams
I periodically have a recurring dream involving intercourse with someone who repulses me. As in, someone whom I intensely dislike/despise to the point of disgust. The individuals vary, but the scenario stays the same.

It's mildly disturbing.

RE: Recurring Dreams
I have a recurring nightmare in which a group of small children is walking towards me.  Sometimes they walk right past me.  Sometimes they turn and go the other way.  Sometimes they blow up before they get to me, sometimes after.  Sometimes I mow them down.  Sometimes they're not children at all, when they get close enough.  Every once in awhile they're my kids.

Sometimes, and this one happens the least, I dream that I'm one of those children, walking up to myself...I know what's going to happen, but my legs just keep taking steps.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

My recurring dream, the one that I remember, anyway, is one in which I own a big house - the house always varies - but there is always at least one room that's in ruins. And there's always a secret crawlspace from a closet to other parts of the house.
Dying to live, living to die.

I'd never go get myself diagnosed over some nightmares.  Not worth it. I already had my dance with mental health services, don't care for a repeat.

You don't need a diagnostician, you just need to listen to this guy Smile :

RE: Recurring Dreams
I used to have reoccuring nightmares of a bride in a wedding dress all shot up and bloody! It was quite the contrast!

About 10 years later, I watched a james bond movie with my sisters.
It might have been the one with George Lazenby. Anyway, what happens in the first few minutes? Freshly married couple get all shot up and the bride is full of blood.

Then everything fell into place. Dad says, yeah, I took you to see that at the cinemas with me when you were very young!
No God, No fear.

RE: Recurring Dreams
I've had a dream since teenage years where I start off behind the art block at school and I bounce across town.
It's quite scary cause I'm a bit afraid of heights and I bounce hundreds of metres into the air.
When I get to the harbour I start pushing through the water like a boat with the water up to my waist.
I'm traveling towards an Island with a glowing, purple, crystal city on it and it becomes night time.
It's a long way off and I'm passing through tree stumps of irregular height that gradually peter out.
This is how I know I'm getting deeper and also the water gets darker.
I never reach the Island cause I'm worried about what's under the water and it wakes me up.
As soon as I wake up I feel exhilarated and I try to go back to sleep and continue the dream but I never can.

I'm a kid again. Mom, dad, sister and I are walking away from the house. I keep telling them my little brother is still in the house, but they don't believe me. I begin to panic and tug my mom and dad's arm, crying, screaming, can't breathe. Then as I look back (feeling completely out of my mind in panic), the house explodes. I wake up in anguish and tears. I have taken my brother out to dinner more than once after having that dream. Lol!

He's probably patching that shit through to your subconscious to get free food.
