OK...I hope you understand, my problem is only with people who would take advantage of the situation- and to me, btw, "kooky" is a fun kinda weird, not bad, just different. Thank you!

I'm curious- and I'll admit I have no idea what's proper and what's insulting, so please bear with me...
Does "trans" mean transexual, or transvestite?
I'm a transsexual, but trans is an "umbrella term" which covers transvestites (commonly known as cross-dressers these days) as well. Some transsexuals use the terms 'transgender' and 'transsexual' interchangeably.
Sorry if it's kinda complicated.

Ah, thank you! We don't get much of that sort of thing in south Texas so I'm on shaky ground, trying not to hurt anyone. I did get to have dinner with Eddie Izzard once, in 1997. I think he's the funniest person alive, and that's about the extent of my knowledge about "trans"
