No, it's taught as if it's scientific fact, not proven fact. Science doesn't deal with proof. There is a motherload of scientific evidence for evolution so the fact it's not "proven" is no biggie. No science is proven.

This is one of the reasons we don't hear much about the evidence against evolution. Papers must be peer reviewed before they can be published and the peers who are doing the reviewing all believe in evolution.

So in other words, those who believe in evolution are soundly backed up with evidence and peer-reviewed whilst creationists don't have evidence and don't peer-review? Can't say I'm surprised.

Oh pls. You have clearly never worked is science. It is an ultra competitive field. Most scientists can't wait to get one over on the competition, prove them wrong, discover something new, get more funding. It is very far from a conspiracy, but it suits your argument to make out that it is. Science has advanced our civilisation to unprecedented levels of success in understanding our world and applying the results. Peer reviewing is the process by which we filter the respectable views out from those lacking any evidence. Behe in the Dover trial had to admit that for ID to be taught in schools the definition of science would include alchemy, astrology, crystal healing and any other new age mumbo jumbo. Read the transcript of the judge, it's fascinating stuff and whilst the judge has a similar religious view to you he condemns the scurrilous fundie attempts to discredit evolution and paint it's advocates as some kind of conspirisists who keep the 'real' truth away from folks. Start thinking for yourself and drop extremism and being a mouth piece for liars. In your religion it is a sin to bear false witness and you are doing exactly that.

So you mean to say that you do work in this field and are an expert on scientific review. I personally know a scientist that has not been allowed to publish his work because it contradicts the established view of evolution. The reason scientist do not go against evolution is because it can be a career ending move and they care more about their money than they do telling what they see as the truth. The money grants are for those who are in the main stream whether the main stream is correct or incorrect. It's as simple as this, if I wanted a grant to study the eating habits of a squirrel most likely I would not recieve a grant however if I included in my application for the grant that I wanted to see what effect global warming had on the squirrels feeding habits money would come my way and I could conduct my study and keep on going as a scientist and making a good living. Yes I got the money I wanted but under fasle pretense because I might not have the same view about global warming as the mainstream scientist that would review my work have. So to do what I wanted to do in the first place I had to falsify my beliefs on global warming to be able to do my scientific study.
