That seems to be the go to phrase for unexplained cosmic tings at the moment.

How about dark ignorance?

That'll work.

You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid.

Tinkety Tonk and down with the Nazis.

It makes things more interesting to not know, than to have answers that might be wrong.

Need to be more thorougly observed.

RE: Extraterrestrial intelligence?
Some people just want to believe so badly. There is a lack of evidence of what is causing a cyclical dimming in this star. A lack of evidence is so far removed from the idea that it's caused by an extraterrestrial mega-structure. People equating a lack of evidence with proof of something is the very thinking that we as Atheists are so often critical of. So this isn't proof of anything. I also would say the fact that it is cyclical, means that it's more likely a natural phenomenon. We see cyclical things in nature all the time. If it was random, that would be more interesting.

It's the end of this planet, guys. We're all gonna die soon.

I agree 100% with what you said.  Until there is observational evidence, all that exists are possibilities.  But, clearly, an alien mega-structure is either there or it is not.

I hope that you're joking.  However, if you are correct, maybe that explains why ET is nowhere to be found in the Cosmos!

It's not the end of the planet, but it might be the end of habitable conditions for humans.
It might be too late to change the circumstances leading to that inhabitability but it's not too late to change the genetics of ourselves, plants and animals to cope with the changes.

Note the text from the preamble:

So, can we just settle for "we don't know" - as of yet? Same as with so many other things we can't explain as of yet.

What do you mean? Have you not seen the movie? It's been on earth a couple of times already!
