Padraic, I'm reconsidering your suggestion and going to start a discussion with the admins. We'll get back to you on what we decide.

I'm feeling the need more and more for a neutral ground where genuine open discussion is allowed. I'm not into preferential treatment for either side and I shouldn't delude myself that such a thing exists. I'm fine with the idea that some people feel the need not to have their beliefs challenged. Like Pad said there are sites for that. I find it hypocritical that sites purport to be open for opposing viewpoints actually seem to need to hold power on their own belief... this isn't freedom of belief, it's building a stronghold. I guess I'm opposed to that which is one of the reasons I frequent this place.

Fr0d0, I understand your concern, but people do have the right to their own space on the internet. Besides, we wouldn't ban all theists to one forum. I would personally be against that, at the very least. I can't really comment any further until I have a better idea of what we want, since the admins and mods need to discuss. But any suggestions by the members would be wonderful.

I'm fully supportive of people's right to privacy or group space. I'm just working things out for myself. I can't help rebel even though this is clearly enemy space: I want to defend my rights.
If it was my country I wouldn't expect my religious stance to limit your freedom of expression in any way. I'm sure we agree on that.
