That being said, there is a POV in which  ALL living things are, in a sense, immortal - Sagan's 'star stuff'.  Every atom and subatomic particle of your being is coeval with the instantiation of the universe - the bits that make you 'you' are either original atoms, or the products of these original atoms.  The oxygen molecules that keep you going have been breathed by uncountable trillions of organisms that existed before you came along, and the decay that will occur after your death with become part of trillions more individual organism, and this happy state will continue at least until the heat death of the universe.

In that sense - and that sense only - is the concept of immortality in any wise coherent.

Imagine. God in afterlife gives you two options:

1. Become his servant and start endure the pain of caring for others in your next afterlife.

2. Choose permanent death.

Theoretically, what would you choose?

The question is incoherent to me. It's like asking if I'd rather take the One Ring to Mordor, or have a corned beef sandwich. The choice between a delusion and a reality isn't a 'choice' at all.

Indeed. They wish to be like batman was - miserable but with "noble" life. Id say that would be badass If they didnt offered others their "poison" and instead drank it themselves.

Thought you were a believer yourself, purplepurpose. Are you a recent de-convert?

I'm a bit different de-convert. Im sure that God exists, I cannot change that.

The problem for me is that serious "spirituality" in religion consumes almost all happines in life and leaves you with "noble" misery of sacrifice for the "higher goals".

Religion portrays a state of non belief as a sickness that needs to be cured. And its a noble thing to preach the "path of sacrifice" to evade hell. Fear of hell is behind preaching. So, to ease the fears you do the preaching or Gods will.

Do you preach in real life?
I don't have an anger problem, I have an idiot problem.

That's interesting.  You're certain God exists but how certain are you regarding His nature, purposes and significance in your life?  Can you elaborate on what you think God is and wants from you?

Oh, and in what sense are you a different de-convert? Does it have to do with the institution of the church versus what you experience directly?

By the difference I meant my faith that doesnt cease to exist.

On What God wants... Religion has a reason to exist as long as it offers you to monitize your excellent morale behaviour. Be it a good reincarnation according to karma, to have a next life like Justin Bieber has now but with a decent singing talent, or Christian happy life in heaven with God.

I think, God, surly would "invest" in createing humanity for some kind of benefit.
