I'm now un-chicken enough to...

Oh, no you're not Bella. You're not overtaking me.
Oooh! I like it. A race!

As much as I know that it is a bit on the paranoid side, it's understandable, when you think of the tourist crimes that happened in Florida a few years back.
I was too chicken to go back to school, but I did it and now I'm six months from graduating and getting a professional license.

My OCD hurt me really bad because I couldn't control the cars behind me. I was so paranoid I couldn't even use my rearview mirror and had to move it or I would obsessively check it. The only two times I have been in an 'accident' were where I wasn't even moving. I was just sitting there and someone rear ended me since they weren't paying attention. Guess my paranoia wasn't so unreasonable as I thought.

I sometimes wonder what she would have said, although I think I could guess. That is actually almost lyrics for a great song that has a great life lesson! When I was fourteen I was fallin' fast For a blue-eyed girl in my homeroom class. Tryin to find the courage to ask her out Was like tryin' to get oil from a water spout. What she would've said, I can't say. I never did ask then she moved away. I learned something from my blue-eyed girl: sink or swim, you gotta give it a whirl. Life's a dance, you learn as you go. Sometimes you lead, sometimes you follow. Don't worry 'bout what you don't know, life's a dance, you learn as you go. The longer I live the more I believe You do have to give if you wanna receive. There's a time to listen, a time to talk. And you might have to crawl even after you walk. Had sure things blow up in my face, Seen the longshot win the race. Been knocked down by the slammin' door. Picked myself up and came back for more. ~John Michael Montgomery's Life's a Dance

I never tried again for around 5 years. After that it was just one year when winter was nearly approaching and i knew if I didn't pass it would be another year relying on the shittest public transport system you can imagine and walking across fields at night in the cold. So with that incentive I passed everything first time in a fairly short time period. Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them. Impersonation is treason. |
