Of course I'm nice. I'm so in touch with my niceness, I've had to beat the snot out of several people who insisted I wasn't a nice person.
Seriously, though, I do think I come off as particularly not all that nice, since I have a tendency to confront people who are rude in public. But the confrontations are not always physical (the last one that got physical landed me in court), more often they take the form of my saying something like, 'If you don't belt up this very minute, I'll have you escorted out.'

Nice is my default, but doormat isn't. Most of the time I'm nice; sometimes my biggest personal failing, though, is being an asshole.

In general, yes, because I don't like anger and always try to step back from it which makes me very forgiving... but at the same time I have no time for games or gameplayers any more. In the past I was easily manipulated but now whenever I see games I just disengage, completely. So in the past I'd have done a lot to 'fit in' but now I've seen enough loneliness and rejection in my life to be accustomed to it and comfortable with it... so that power over me is gone... I will not be controlled because I am willing and able to step outside an existing social order/dynamic. For instance, when I was at school, and after I came out, I lost all my friends and ended up completely ostracised, spending my breaks and lunchtimes alone in a dark classroom with nothing but a walkman for company, actually looking forward to the lessons. At the time that was hell, but now I've matured enough to actually be perfectly comfortable with that arrangement.
