Tower of Bible and creation of languages

As of matter of fact it precisely is.

Try to remember that I regard your precious bible as a pile of shit.  The onus is on you to demonstrate that it is more than that.

Quality of character is spiritual creation. Being consistent and reliable takes self discipline, it is not a product of momentary mental whimsy.

According to the bible, Jesus is the Son of God right? Basically God in a finite man form so goes the story....so how did he teach? Was he explanatory and literal all the time or did he mostly use the language cyphers of metaphor and allegory? Did Isaiah use similar poetic language? Yes, they did.

It's not to prove the bible is "true", it's to take a look at how language is used by the alleged people in it.  And as the history of some of the events in the bible are turning out to be false, it leans even more towards being a cypher.

In fact, a really good cypher would include pitfalls and traps for those only looking to take it literally, either believing it or not believing it to be as presented. In this way I can look through the information from a different angle and see if new patterns pop out. They do to me and they are useful to me, but tools are only useful when you are looking for and need them.
If you and I were in a vehicle about to go over a cliff, and I needed you to perform some action to save your life...I wouldn't fuck around with riddles.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Hilarious

You are so married to the fundamentalist/literal interpretation of the bible that when someone straight up tells you that they think it's a cypher, in other words A COMPLETE AND TOTAL FABRICATION with a purpose, you insist they prove it to be historically true and demand they prove something they don't believe!

Comedy gold!

I like you well enough but self preservation would kick in and I would unbuckle my own belt and leap out the door, hoping to God you are doing the same.

How do we know the prohibition against allowing menstruating women in church, for instance, isn't a VERY BIG deal to God ??

(or insert any of a seeming myriad of bizzaro does and don'ts in scripture there)

Yes, he is a cherry picker

For folks where hubris trumps belief, why do we still call them 'believers' ??

It is certainly not a pile of shit.
Just like laws of Hammurabi  are not shit.
And Kama-sutra is not shit.
And Iliad is not shit.

And 1 Corinthians 13 is beautiful.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

I think they could teach this in schools.

Teach what, poetry?  They do.

Imagine that the above was written by a jilted lover.
