Clinton broke the law, but was not prosecuted under the guise of men's rea; a defense not afforded others in cases with potentially less impact to national security. Trump is a stupid asshole, but this constant defense of such a loathsome individual simply because she isn't Trump is beyond ridiculous at this point in the race.
I'm not voting for either; we're fucked either way. Perhaps a Trump victory would recalibrate both parties to take matters more seriously rather than bending to cults of personality.

That's not my position. I'm don't defend her just because she isn't Trump. I defend her because if you listen to non-partisan sources of information, it's clear she's very far from being loathsome. She's just been the target of a partisan witch hunt for the last two decades.

Let's see---Hillary used her charitable foundation to do a lot of good in the world while at the same time advancing her political career and expanding her political network.
Trump used his as a money pot while all of the places he has claimed to donate to say they never got any money. Only when called out for not giving money he promised to a Veteran's organization did he actually do it.
Hillary had a private email server, Trump defrauded thousands of people with his "University" and hundreds of small businesses which he defaulted on contracts because he could bleed people dry by stalling the civil suit process with his retained team of lawyers.
Hillary lied about having pneumonia, Trump lies about literally everything he opens his mouth about. Depending on the hour of the day, he will be building a wall and deporting 11 million people, or working on an amnesty program and saying he never said there'd actually be a wall. He will be punishing women for having an abortion or the doctors who perform them, or saying that's not the government's job. He'll be swearing to repeal Obergefell, celebrating NC anti-LBGT laws, or saying he's a friend of the LGBT community. He'll be the lead charge on the birther movement, or he'll be telling everyone that Hillary started it.
It's easy as shit to be a white, middle class guy and know that your life isn't going to change much with a Trump presidency. But part of being a humanist, if you are one, is thinking about all of the people whose lives could be a whole lot worse. As a black man in this country, I will gladly vote for Hillary if the other option is Donald Trump. It's not even close. Donald Trump nominating 2-3 Supreme Court Justices would be absolutely abhorrent.

You know and Trump knows it, it would be kind of interesting to see if Trump actually won since so much people hate him beyond any measurable point. It really looks like people would lynch him, because I think even his supporters would get disillusioned pretty fast. His only chance would be to continue lying how he's doing great work and suppress media, as he announced - basically turning US into North Korea.
I can already see it: men getting free haircuts at barber shops if they want Trump haircut, women getting free breast and lips implants if they want to be so called "Trump Girl" and look like Melania.
