That is not what the Gospels teach however;  a True Christian; is one who follows Jesus as Lord.

Yet another "work-around".

Workaround for what exactly?

Jesus gave up women and wealth. Instead, he inspired people to live an idealistic lifestyle. And didnt abandoned his beliefs even when he was tortured and killed. Some people strive to walk in the footsteps of the first or true Christian.

Although, in nowadays consumer society, such things sound like madness, their unprofitable.

So, if all true christian males gave up women I predict we would see an end to true Christianity within a few generations.

I'm unsure what you are asking.... Do you mean those who came before Christ?

The ones who know better than Christ in regards to (pick one) some-most-all of His teachings.

For example; "Yes, I follow Jesus, except where He is clearly wrong about remarriage following divorce, hating your parents, allowing fig trees to live, banning hypocrisy,  acknowledging all 10 Commandments instead of just Jesus favorite 6, etc."
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

BTW, please explain how Jesus can be wrong about anything for me, please.

Your knowledge of the Bible seems to be based on a caricature... I would suggest deeper study. (Allowing fig tree's to live.... really?)

Would I be more Christ-like in withering a fig tree ??

Or would I be less Christ-like in withering a fig tree ??

Would I have been Christ like if I had told my wife and kids "I'll be right back" and then split for good?
