Well, at least Trump didn't go against all female "Ghostbusters" movie, now that would really be sexist and a political career stopper.
At least it's now a catchy song
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
I wonder if the US Republican party is conflicted, having to carry an unwanted candidate to term...

"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Every four years they say "we can win Penn, we just need to try harder". And every four years it stays solidly blue. The main reason is that the only areas where they have a solid enough traction are all in the unpopulated centre of the state.

Err..that rather sounds like something a Trump supporter would say.

^ Some Republicans (the ones with a brain) call Pennsylvania, "fool's gold." If you made a map of the state divided into counties, it would look very red with just smatterings of blue. The problem is all the red areas are rural and all the blue areas urban - including the nation's 5th-largest city, Philadelphia. I guess some Republicans just can't get past the visual and focus on the numbers. They waste time and treasure in Pennsylvania. The state is like a quicksand trap for them.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.
