A quick word on "Overwhelmingly Negative Influences"

In return a theist may point out that abortion has killed over 1.5 billion since Roe v wade. (1973)

I'm finding sources online that support your number (though I only glanced at them and don't at this time have an opinion on whether they are good sources), but you should at least clarify that you mean abortions performed worldwide. Mentioning Roe v. Wade in the same sentence might give the impression that you are making a claim about abortions in the U.S. since 1973. I know that's not what you're claiming, but the implication can be read into it.

God, it sounds like a Tom and Jerry cartoon at your house Big Grin I dread to think what your idea of heaven is, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was God dropping an anvil on your head at regular intervals, all in the name of love... well agape or whatever it is Big Grin

I forgot expensive cell phones.. there has been more than one of those.

Also it's not like everyday she goes down the list.. I think this is more like one thing a year x15 years.. Not to mention we are like with each other 24/7 We do everything together, and have done almost since the beginning.. the only time we are apart is our separate drives into work or going home. Or I have to fly out to some other city for some work related stuff.

One big throw scalding food on your spouse a year is not too bad.

Not urban legends. They are real, but remote. Take a joke for what it is and leave it alone.

lol, would you like some help pulling that stick out of your ass? I can see it's up so far it's stirring your brains a little. You clearly wouldn't know humor if it bit you in the ass.

Not to the point of full pacifism , but to the extent of a fully utilitarian outlook. I'm sure you find some things sacred too, else you must be quite the disgusting and disturbing human being.

Well, if you want to take someone's words as an attack on the sanctity of life, that's your business. In comedy, nothing is sacred. Don't like it? Don't watch the video, don't download it ... but fer chrissakes, quit pretending you're superior when what you mean to say is that you're offended by words.

If you're offended by words, good. Life's tough -- now get a helmet and shut the fuck up.

What's worse than a dead baby?

80,000 dead babies.

Okay I admit I'm not very good at jokes.

You really don't wear sanctimony well. But you know what? With this exchange, you've given a hostage to fortune.

Some people are so hard hearted, they  have to have absolute indisputable proof. Kneeling before God... What better proof is there? Some people's demand for proof exceed their need to be right before God. Mine did not (thankfully)

And.. who said anything about fearing death?

This wasn't a bargain, this was a lord if your there looks like i will be there with you. If I am doing stuff to piss you off let me know before it is too late kind of thing.

You did when you said "save you from your fate". With all of the terminal disease/events listed obviously death was the subject/fate. If there was not fear, what would the human need to be saved from?

This was a bargain, made out of fear. You've done nothing to convince me otherwise.

Good glob...

Accepting one's fate means you do not fear it but have accepted it. Me calling my inevitable death fate demonstrates I donot fear death.

If you read my thread on it I never begged for my life. I simply asked for direction.

1)  Is religion/church as important to you as it is the hubby?

2)  Drich describes converting from atheism as an adult.  Did you make such a conversion or have you always been a believer?

3)  Are you also big on proselytizing in RL, and are you both members of the same church?

Just going one post at a time i have not looked to see what she said nor do we discuss our posts..
This is how I would answer for her:

1)Yes but is a different way.. In reference to Paul's analogy we are different part of the same body. Meaning we all have different functions. Her service to the body would be different than my own. To judge importance I'd say we'd have an equal dedication just different ways to serve. So you can't really judge importance based on what we do or how long it takes us to do it. but more on the idea/fact of where our heart is in what we do. Me here and situations like this. her service centers around the benevolence/giving out food boxes to the poor. (what we use to do together when we first met.)

2)She grew up in the church, but had to figure God out as her pic of God and what the church teaches is not the same thing..

3)She is not big on preaching.. Technically we are members of the church we met at.

But basically my work is done here. I've been asked several times to do different things/teach or whatever but what i have to say is almost Anti-Religion.

There like here people ask me questions and I ask do you want to know what the church says or what the bible says? And I tell them which always leads to more questions.. The hardcore church people hate this.. and It causes problems, so I back way off so as not to split the church.
