Loosen gun controls nationwide: “We support firearm reciprocity legislation to recognize the right  of  law-abiding  Americans to carry firearms to protect themselves and their families in all  50  states. We oppose ill-conceived laws that  would  restrict magazine capacity or ban  the  sale  of  the  most  popular  and  common modern rifle.”

You have to understand how something like your number 12 comes over for a European. Our rightwingers are the first to reintroduce religion - christianity of course - into the political debate after going secular for about 5 decades. In my living memory I haven't heard politicians ramble about christian nations and christian Europe. That barrier has broken now.

The only thing giving me hope is that our churches don't play ball. They were the first to denounce the appeal to so called christian values and calling it a cheap shot at collecting brownie points with a certain demographic. That's also the reason why I constantly keep saying that I consider our churches to be allies in fighting the extreme right. For the last 3 decades they were on the right side of most social issues. The protestants even on gay marriage and abortion.
