Let's drag these backward motherfuckers into the present for the good of the species. | 5 | 8.06%
I just really like telling people to blow Jesus out their ass. | 3 | 4.84%

It doesn't really matter to me one way or the other, provided they aren't pushy about selling it or making it the law. | 21 | 33.87%
Really just curious to know how they think about it and why. It isn't my business to change them. | 6 | 9.68%
Hell, if I could still believe in God I would, so don't spoil it for them. (Same deal as with Santa except forever). | 0 | 0%
No, I want them to believe. Might be the only thing keeping them from becoming murderers and rapists. | 0 | 0%

How important is it to you to convert theists to atheism?

4 and 5, I'd say.
We'll all be worm food soon enough. If people want to run around pretending that they won't, I generally don't give a shit, provided that they manage to stay in their lane. ...Because, we'll all be worm food, soon enough.
Picked the last one because I'm not atheist. If the poll was aimed at theists though, I'd pick #4 - If someone wants to talk about it, I'm happy to tell them why I'm a theist. Otherwise, got things to do.
As St Francis of Assisi said "Preach the gospel always. When necessary, use words."
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

My very life was saved by a Christian after I had a psychological emergency, so I'm sticking with 5. I respect your walk in life if you respect mine.
"For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring." - Carl Sagan

I suppose if I see someone who is being made miserable by religion (such as hating themselves for being gay or something), I would have an incentive there to try and break their mental chains for their benefit.
Of course, it's not like you can just magically deconvert anyone. All you can do is plant seeds of reason, and see what happens. Maybe they'll alter their theistic views to "nicer" ones, or maybe they'll eventually realise it's all ridiculous and abandon them completely. Feel free to send me a private message.

That would have been a great way to have put the poll together. How about making one for theists, but I guess there aren't enough of you?
Very. This way the church falls. And that is what I want. To see the church destroyed. Ashes. Burning to the ground. Priests crucified on the rubbish of the churches. The blood of the cardinals on the floor. The head of the pope rolling.
THE END HAS COME. PREPARE, CHURCH, FOR I COME. (November 17, 2016 at 12:27 am)Whateverist Wrote:(November 16, 2016 at 11:54 pm)Catholic_Lady Wrote: Picked the last one because I'm not atheist. But I may put one up anyway just for fun. Maybe tomorrow, as I'm getting ready for bed at the moment.
