I've always received bad messages on Facebook but these messages (all written in bad English) got worse in the last week or so - right after the election of Donald Stump and the racist and homophobic outbursts in USA I keep reading here and there. The bigger part of these messages were things like "you shud kil yourzelf, fagot! Streight power!" (quoted with the bad spelling) and the latest one (on Nov 21st) was even a racist message and I memorized it: "u shud kill youreself, fag, WHAIT POWER!". When I saw that one I was ROFLing because I'm white but for some reason the morons assumed I was black. Because of people like them I have set the albums with my personal pictures to be viewable only by my closest friends and the morons assumed the boy on my profile picture on Facebook is me (it's not me).

P.S. While typing the above, another message arrived and aside from the bad English, there was also an image attached - the rainbow flag with a swasticka (not sure about the spelling of this word, correct me if I'm wrong) on it.

And NO, I'm not complaining - I'm far from it! I don't give a shit about these messages. My immunity against religion has made me impervious to any violations on my mental health and therefore I'm immune against "there" (according to their bad spelling) attempts to make me suicide. But I can't help and wonder whether the USA isn't going down the road to another civil war. Because this internet aggression will eventually escalate into a physical one. A bunch of people will try and kill everyone who's different, the different ones will defend themselves and here it is - a civil war.
If this is happening merely days after the election of Donald Stump, I don't even dare to imagine what will happen before the end of his mandate.

We have discussed the cesspool that is Facebook many times on these forums, but what do we do? I'm guilty here. I check in once a month to poach pictures of grandchildren and see what extended family and old acquaintances are up to; I never lend my voice to conversation, particularly the bullshit. Until now I have mistakenly chosen to stay 'above the fray' regarding what I rightfully conclude is bullshit, but the bullshit has consequences. Of course, people that I piss off are free to 'defriend' me, but I could at least have made an attempt. Cliff Claven's buffalo herd theory of beer is applicable here; perhaps I can have an effect on a few minds and who knows how that propagates?

As I turn over a new leaf, the approach is equally important. 'Blow God out your ass', as appropriate as it may be, will only further entrench people in that forum. Hit 'em with the facts and let them reach their own conclusions. You won't convert everyone, or many, but it's worth an attempt. There are plenty of uneducated idiots on the left that sell their wares on Facebook (insert Castro cock sucking here).

I've had my fill of the bed-wetting. What are we going to do about it? It's a battle of ideas. Pouting isn't going to win the next battle.

Min takes the humorous approach. You on the other hand really seem to believe in Trump death camps. The guy and the blokes he's surrounding himself with are bad on their own merit. Expect that he follows through on many of his populous messages. Expect him, for lack of a better example, to go Orban, but not Hitler.

His followers on the other hand are a different matter. The vermin is encouraged on a global level. Yes I said vermin, since there's one type of people I really hate. And that's fascists. The Italian ones and their leaders even crawled out from under their rocks to announce that the time of hiding is over.
