So over the holiday me and my family had a rather heated discussion about race colorism and the affects it was having on my little cousins. The discussion came up I suppose because my little cousin told her sister that only she was black Jazz Mexican. I told Lilly told her sister was black too but she is also Latina. Im just so tired of when people claim of the other parts their heritage then we don't get be black anymore. It's honestly wearing thin as a multiracial person.

I don't know why theres hangs ups with race at all it seems there are other things to worry about that should be more important. We all came out of Africa after all. You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid. Tinkety Tonk and down with the Nazis.
I suppose they're too young to be informed about Rule 34 . . . .
Everyone is attractive to somebody, and when you're hooked up, life's a peach. IOWs, seeing others who've grown up and been successful in whatever endeavor, be it love, business, art, writing, that's a great antidote. The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

It's about whenever a mixed race person has wants to learn about their roots people always want you pick a side. And when you have black blood people cling to this Willie Lynch bullshit of you're just black if have any African blood who cares about the rest of your self. And it's not right that my family keeps trying to make Jazz identify as simply black when she has expressed that she doesn't feel that way. And as the only other multi ethnic person I feel need to take up for baby cousin. She has a right to her identity. To her history. To be whole and not have adults around her make feel wrong for it. And while I know they'd never admit to it I there's a bit of envy over Jazzy's privilege as light skinned person. And I think we play favorites. And perhaps I do a little since I took care of her during her babyhood.
Everybody (excepting albinos) is brown. Get over it, folks.
