I got really excited about this when I saw it earlier. Yay feathers!

it's just heartbreaking (for the Christers) couldn't God have put in even a single particle of SOMETHING in the bible beyond the ken of the bronze age goat herders he commissioned to write the bible ?
I think Sagan come up with the gist of this, and I'm going to expand on it a bit: And the Lord saw 137 horsemen riding against the faithful, and then 35 sacred doves of the flock of the thousand descended on the 9 cities of Nineveh, the 9 houses of the priests, and the 9 wells of purity and then Jesus and his disciples, 13 in all, prayed 9 times. Alex K will figure that out in seconds, if I hadn't come up with it, I might have figured it out in days, and some of the rest of you might get a glimmer on that too. But woe to the Christers, God missed this trick, and I'm thinking the best explanation for missing that trick (or something like it) is His nonexistence. The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
they will just say it's just a dinosaur with feathers just as they say all feathered dinosaurs are just birds with teeth though good luck getting them to explain why god would create such a creature

Missed in all this gloating about the triumph yet again of 21st century AD science over rather nasty fairy tale from 7th century BC is a discussion about the actual paleontological importance of the find.

Ignorance mixed with stupidity has never heard about scientific processes like carbon dating. I keep seeing evidence of that all the time on Facebook. In theird minds 6,000 = 99,000,000. The following seems to take a more conservative approach, in that there is speculation in either case (bird or dinosaur tail). http://www.evolutionnews.org/2016/12/fea...03354.html While searching, I also found the following interesting, in some of the speculation over feathered dinosaurs, and where information is extrapolated. http://www.evolutionnews.org/2010/09/inc...38061.html |
